About Us...

Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation developed and launched Live Healthy Gwinnett in 2014 along with Eastside Medical Center. This community-wide wellness initiative is a proactive approach to address the preventable chronic illnesses that impact Gwinnett County. The Partners of Live Healthy Gwinnett encourage and engage those who live, learn, work, play, and age in the Gwinnett community to invest in personal wellness through active programming, community events and policy implementation.

Community Health Internships

Do you have an educational background in health education, promotion or similar field? Are you looking for an opportunity to train and gain experience in community health? Then an internship with Live Healthy Gwinnett is a great opportunity. In a Community Health Internship, you'll strive to improve the health of an entire community, not just an individual. Our Community Health Internships involve everything from planning health and wellness programs, assisting individuals and communities to adopt healthy behaviors, provide information on available resources, offer social support and advocate for individuals and community health needs; you should find plenty of opportunities that will match your goals. Contact 770.822.3197 or email Lindsey.Jorstad@gwinnettcounty.com for more information.
